This program provides grants for the establishment of Health Information Technology Regional Extension Centers that will offer technical assistance, guidance and information on best practices to support and accelerate health care providers’ efforts to become meaningful users of Electronic Health Records (EHRs). |

Eligible applicants can include nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education.
Successful applicants will be those that can provide Regional Extension Center services to providers in specific regions in the nation not yet covered by an REC, specifically Orange County, California, the State of New Hampshire and select counties in the State of Florida. |
