Description Mississippi Nurses Foundation Scholarship is awarded to a nursing student enrolled in good academic standing at one of Mississippi schools of nursing.
Amount A $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a nursing student by the Mississippi Nurses Foundation.

Eligibility Criteria:
  1. Admitted to a basic professional registered nursing program in Mississippi
  2. Member of the Mississippi Association of Student Nurses
  3. Possess strong academic performance
  4. Demonstrate leadership ability
  5. Write a 500-1000 word essay that begins with the following sentence: The nursing profession will be better in the next decade, because my goals and ambitions include .
Instructions A complete application must include:
  • Student information form (contact the Nurses Foundation)
  • Essay
  • Official transcript (no copies)
Three (3) letters of support from faculty providing specific examples of:
  1. Leadership potential
  2. Involvement in professional activities
  3. Academic performance
