Nurses Coming Out of Retirement Eases Chronic Shortage For Now
April 22, 2009 -- Older nurses are either delaying their retirements or coming out of retirement in order to compensate for their spouses having lost their jobs. One result: the easing, for now, of a nursing shortage that was spawned nationwide in the 1990s.
